Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join their team in Southern rural area in NSW (500km from Sydney).
Responsibilities
- Fit and assemble metal parts to machines, equipment and vehicles
- Interpret and follow plans and procedures
- Responsible for the quality of their own work subject to general supervision.
- Complete breakdown and preventative maintenance as required including shutdowns
- Follow maintenance schedules as directed to minimise production downtime.
- Conduct generalist maintenance duties
- Assist team members and respond timely to issues
- Recommend improvements
- Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to improve safety as required
- Identifying and solving problems which occur in the work process and identify and report problems outside your own work process.
- Work under general supervision either individually or within a team.
- Exercise discretion within own level of skills and training.
- Assist tradesperson to carry out their duties
- Operate flexibly between work stations and machines.
- Report maintenance and operational issues to the Maintenance Manager
- Fit and assemble metal parts and sub-assemblies to fabricate production machinery, other equipment and vehicles
- Supervise and train apprentices in line with requirements of the State Training Authority and the -Australian Apprenticeship Centre
- Complete appropriate documentation.
Requirements
- Recognised Trading Certificate or Certificate III or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or Cert III in Engineering ? Fabrication Trade or Cert III in Engineering ? Electrical/Electronic Trade, or equivalent.
- Minimum two years experience in Manufacturing
- Good computer skills
- Use of problem solving skills as required
- Courteous, obliging and responsive manner
- Competent oral and written skills
- Ability to manage one's own time effectively
- Ability to think on one's feet in order to juggle several tasks at once
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Team player
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Only
- Ability to speak Korean is preferred.
Remuneration:
- Negotiable depending on working experience
